Women of Gold is a multimedia project showcasing the stories and contributions of women in the City of Greater Bendigo.

Six local artists bring the untold stories of women, out of the shadows and into the light. These diverse stories illuminate the richness and complexity of women’s perspectives.

We ignite conversation and recognition of the underrepresentation of women in art and the resulting barriers, invisibility, silence, and impact this has on society.

• The immersive experience includes the Women of Gold short film, viewed via QR codes.

• Women of Gold exhibition at Pennyweight Walk Outdoor Gallery, Bendigo, Victoria from March 1, 2024.

• Women of Gold will showcase on the iconic BENDIGO sign from February 14 to March 11, 2024, in recognition of International Women’s Day.
