Gayle Wilson

2024 WOMAN OF GOLD

After the sudden, awful death of my father, I was given the (unbeknown) gift of space to reflect on how I really wanted contribute to this world. The silence and isolation of grief actually became my funnel into exploring other ways of doing life. At 40, I decided I would finish up my long and very in demand career as a hairdresser of 24years to follow my dreams of being of service of helping people feel better in another way. After sitting with a couple of relatives as they passed away, I went onto studying being a death doula.

I was initially focused on supporting people as they transitioned from this life, only to discover my gift is in helping people to restore themselves and heal from trauma and live a fulfilling life now, so they don't need too much support in the end. All their bows are tired :) By helping people to navigate how and why they behave and react to different life challenges. Helping people to holistically return back to their heart and get the hell out of their heads. They gone on to have more meaningful lives, free of burden, disappointment and hesitation. The time is now.
