Women of Gold is a multimedia project showcasing the stories and contributions of women in the City of Greater Bendigo.

We ignite conversation and recognition of the underrepresentation of women in art and the resulting barriers, invisibility, silence, and impact this has on society.

Six local artists bring the untold stories of women, out of the shadows and into the light. These diverse stories illuminate the richness and complexity of women’s perspectives.

• The immersive experience also includes the Women of Gold short film, viewed via QR codes.

• Women of Gold artists will exhibit at Pennyweight Walk Outdoor Gallery, Bendigo, Victoria from March 1 2024.

• The Women of Gold project will showcase on the iconic BENDIGO sign from February 14 to March 11, 2024 in recognition of International Women’s Day.
